How to Speak in Tongues. Tuesday 15th November 2016. Written by Manashantii the Christian
Mark 16 v17 K.J. V. Bible (Jesus speaking) And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; and they shall speak with new tongues;
You have to be a confessed Christian and a Holy Spirit filled Christian before you can pray in tongues or be able to pray in the Holy Spirit.
Please read all of this article, then study all the Holy Bible verses mentioned and then pray with faith prayers 1, prayer 2, prayer 3, prayer 4 and prayer 5 at least once. As you pray believe that The Holy Spirit will take care of it.
The following are my descriptive terms for speaking in tongues or praying in the Spirit :-
1. (Spirit to Spirit) From your Spirit to The Holy Spirit worship, it is supernatural faith filled prayer language of which protects and builds you up Spiritually. Praying in tongues is a unique Spiritual worship experience for every individual and it Spiritually empowers the worshipper. Praying in the Spirit is a purification process of the soul and Spirit. To speak in tongues you need to have a relationship with The Holy Spirit as it is The Holy Spirit that guides you; you also to keep your mind and heart pure and free from unforgiveness. Have a relationship with God The Father, Jesus The Son and The Holy Spirit every day. Visualise presenting the problem or person onto the feet of Jesus; strengthen your faith and concentration as you pray in tongues to the Holy Spirit
2. Speaking in tongues is Spirit prayer empowered by God’s Spirit and my spirit in submission and in conversation with God. Praying in tongues is a prayer of faith and Spirit; praying in tongues is a Holy Spirit expression expressed within me. Praying in tongues is a personal prayer language that develops my faith and my Spirit. Praying in tongues is a spirit refreshing exercise that connects me to the Holy Spirit.
3. (Spirit to Spirit) Prayer from my Spirit to God’s Spirit which I pray with faith, which the Holy Spirit translates and gives utterance in an unknown language to God. Every time I speak in tongues I must exercise faith and believe in the Spiritual realm, with faith and with the help of Holy Spirit (which is present in me if I am a Christian,) I will be speaking in tongues.
4. Praying in union with the Holy Spirit is a Spiritual experience, when I pray in tongues my mind is resting but my Spirit prays, because it is faith filled and Holy Spirit led and I am being Spirit-Filled. Praying in tongues is not a thought based language, it is a Spirit guided prayer which I communicate to God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit.
5. Praying with the anointing of the Holy Spirit, is a Spiritual and supernatural prayer relationship with the Holy Spirit.
6. Praying in the Holy Ghost is also known as Praying in the Spirit realm; which is praying in the language of the Spirit. It is praying in the supernatural. Keep increasing in faith and knowledge.
These are two ways other people describe speaking in tongues
A. Baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues.
B. Glossolalia (Which is a Greek word meaning “Speaking in an unknown language”)
These are Holy Bible verses on praying in tongues.
In the book of Genesis 2v7 in the Holy Bible it says :- And the LORD God formed man of dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
In the book of The Acts of the Apostles in the Holy Bible (Acts2v1-4) it says:- And when the day of Pentecost was fully come they were all with one accord in one place. v2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. v3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. V4 And they were filled with the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit), and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
This is what you are going to do. You are going to forgive all those who you have unforgiveness to.You are going to pray to God to ask for forgiveness for your sins. You are going have faith, ask God, receive and believe. Think of God and fill your mind and experience the presence of God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit as you pray in tongues as you talk to God. Have your thoughts centred on God as you pray in the Spirit. Trust God and trust what the Holy Bible says. Think of a Holy Bible scripture as you pray in the Spirit, keep that scripture in your heart and your mind. Pray and repent against the spirit of unbelief and the spirit of frustration. Let go off cynicism and bitterness about your life path. Work on your personal relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Affirm your belief in God and the supernatural daily. Pray a prayer asking God to bless and anoint all of your body. Praying in tongues is a prayer of faith and a prayer in the Holy Spirit. Praying in the power of The Holy Spirit is praying beyond your logic and your consciousness. Let go off needing to know what you are praying the Holy Spirit will reveal to you what you are praying if necessary. Praying in tongues is a personal prayer language for communicating to God; praying in the Holy Spirit builds up your spirit. You can pray in tongues uttering the words slowly until you are able to have a varied language. You can speak or pray in tongues quietly within your mind; or you can pray in tongues moving your lips quietly or with your mouth closed; or you can pray in tongues aloud. When you find it hard to pray in the Holy Spirit and are struggling then you must pray in your human language binding and rebuking the devil, counterfeit tongues and demonic tongues, then continue to proceed to praying in the Holy Spirit.
Prayer 1
Heavenly Father, I pray and forgive all those who have sinned against me and I ask for forgiveness of all my sins. LORD help me to be led by The Spirit Of God and not my past experiences; help me to desire what is good for me. God you made the laws of the universe. I TRUST THAT YOU CAN DO ANYTHING. I Trust You. I break every negative covenant that I have made consciously or unconsciously. Heavenly Father, let your plans for me to unveil in my life. I trust the Spirit Of God who will get me to my destiny. LORD You are my hope. I relate and connect with God, King Jesus and The Holy Spirit who are the source of life. I live in awareness of God’s presence and I actively worship GOD daily. I belong to my LORD and Jesus Christ. I am dedicated to God and God has a special purpose for me for His Ministry. The Blood of Jesus cleanses my mind and body and the Blood of Jesus helps me to serve the Living God. I can enter into God’s presence and I serve God only. I am victorious and I have power over satan and his principalities. God is helping me to fight this spiritual battle. I am blessed and I am forgiven. I maintain an eternal pledge with God. I am reunited with God and this relationship I have with Jesus Christ gives me peace. God helps me to be righteous. I am under the new covenant. God is with me and will meet my needs. When I am praying in the Spirit I focus my mind on God and I allow my Spirit to pray. I choose Jesus Christ today, God and the Holy Spirit are with me always. Holy Spirit I am asking You to be present with me. Thank you Holy Spirit. In Jesus’s Name, I pray. Amen. Now Consider it done and leave it to The Holy Spirit
Now anoint your head, your tongue, your hands, your umbillical belly button, your feet and pray the following:-
Acts 11v16 Then I remembered the word of the Lord, (Jesus) how that He said, “John indeed baptised with water; but ye shall be baptised with the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit).”
John 8v36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Romans 8v1-2 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
1 Corinthians2v11-v16 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost (Spirit) teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Pray and Affirm this:- Prayer 2
Heavenly Father, I know that Jesus made me free, so I am free indeed. I plead the Blood of Jesus over me. Holy Spirit Power fill me up, everything belongs to You. Holy Spirit Power fill me up. I am connected to The Holy Spirit. I trust in The Holy Spirit. I let go off needing to know what I am praying. I trust that The Holy Spirit understands. In Jesus’s Name, I pray. Amen. Now Consider it done and leave it to The Holy Spirit.
Psalm23 v5 Thou preparers a table before me in the presence of my enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Isaiah 10v27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his home shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
Galatians 5v18 But if ye be led of Spirit, ye are not under the law.
The Holy Spirit is the one who gives Spiritual gifts including the gifts of tongues.
You may need Holy anointing oil. Fasting if you can. Take Holy Communion daily until you receive the gift of tongues.
You will be doing the following ( but not in this order ) :-
1. Praying in your normal language,
2. Praising God at least ten minutes a day, ( progressing to one hour a day)
3. Study the Holy Bible,
4. Praising God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit,
5. Believing God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit and receiving the gift of tongues,
6. and then you will be Praying in tongues. (Anointing yourself with oil and fasting is optional).
7. Forgiving those that have hurt you.
8. Letting go off the past
9. and letting go off jealousy.
10. Repent of all your sins. Sin causes curses. Ask God for forgiveness of your sins.
11. Renounce all contact with anything occultic or satanic.
12. Pray prayer to release self from all curses.
Zephaniah 3v9 For then will I (return or restore) turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent.
Jesus said in Acts 1v5 For John truly baptized with water, but he shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) not many days hence.
Jesus said in Acts 1v8 But ye shall receive power, after the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) is come upon you: and ye (you) shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and in Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
John 7v37 –39 In the last day, that great day of the feast. Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39. (But this spake he of the Spirit which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
Acts 2v11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
You must accept Jesus as your Lord and saviour first before you can receive the Holy Spirit. God The Holy Spirit is the one who gives the gift of speaking in tongues, you will be given the gift of tongues according to God’s desire and God desires for you to speak in tongues. 1st Corinthians 14 v5 Now I want you all to speak in tongues, but even more to prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be built up.
Jealousy and unforgiveness blocks your ability to speak in tongues, is there anyone you need to forgive? Let go off jealousy. Praise God, Praise Jesus and Praise the Holy Spirit with your mouth in your own words. Moral purity increases Spiritual power.
Get to know the Holy Spirit, read the Holy Bible and spend time with the Holy Spirit daily. Speaking in tongues is being filled with the Holy Spirit, it is a process of sanctification and communicating with God. Speaking in tongues builds up your Spirit, it is not emptying the mind like meditation or chanting of the Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, or Gibberish of the Sufi. Have faith and believe that you have received the gift. The spiritual realm is higher than the intellectual. Praying in the Spirit is a prayer of faith prayed in the Spirit to God. The mind is flesh and it cannot comprehend the Spirit. You may not understand what you are saying but pray the syllables to God, and He will turn it into language, trust that God understands because He does. Surrender your mind to the Holy Spirit and have faith, because speaking in tongues is a language of faith and of The Holy Spirit, so you must have faith as you pray and pray in the Spirit. Every time you pray let your heart be filled with faith and your mind focused on God, as you pray in the Spirit and in tongues.
John 4v23-24 “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. v24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth.”
Hebrews 11 v6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Please read my many articles on forgiveness. Please see links at the bottom of this page, which is after the Bible verses.
Tongues is your Spirit praying with the Holy Spirit it is a process which edifies your soul. Praying in the Spirit realm, Baptism of the Holy Spirit or Speaking in tongues is Spiritual communication with God, your Spiritual Father. Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a Spiritual Gift that you receive by faith from the Holy Spirit. It is a inner Spirit (your spirit communicating) to The Holy Spirit communication, it is a prayer of faith, when you pray, you are speaking supernatural mysteries, the only person who understands what you are saying is God and I pray with time you will understand the meaning also. Spirit Prayer is communication in the Spirit realm by faith, we enter the Spirit realm through the Spirit, by faith. You may not understand what you are praying because it is your spirit praying in a heavenly language. Eventually as you pray, your Spirit will take over and pray for you in the Spirit. Experience God’s Love, God’s Peace, God’s Forgiveness. Fill your mind with God’s word. Still your emotions as you pray and be Spirit led, trust the Holy Spirit, trust God. Praying in the Spirit is a prophetic expression which also strengthens your spiritual gifts. As you pray the Holy Spirit will intercede and activate the ministry of holy angels. It is good to pray in tongues when you don’t know what to pray.
Silence and stillness helps you to get in touch with the indwelling Spirit, but don’t empty your mind; feel the presence of The Holy Spirit. Quieten your emotions and wait for the Holy Spirit that dwells in you. Living in the Spirit is the highest level of being with God, this guides you and builds up your faith. Speaking in tongues develops the Spiritual, which changes your Spiritual D.N.A. The Spirit of God is a life giving Spirit. Trust and believe that the Holy Spirit will teach you and transform you. Allow your Spirit to rule your mind and let your Spirit communicate with God, trust that God will lead you. Humble yourself to Christ’s Holy Spirit. God gives the Holy Spirit to the obedient. Surrender to God’s guidance even in the least of things. Humble yourself and be cleansed by the Holy blood of Jesus. The deepest approach to God is worship. Receive the Holy Spirit through faith. Quieten your soul and listen to the Holy Spirit that dwells within you, the Christian. When you pray in the Spirit, you are putting your faith in God, you are praying that the Holy Spirit will speak to you and through you, for you to speak a Spiritual language. In time as your Spiritual tongues develop you may be able to interpret what you are saying to God, as the Holy Spirit will reveal to you what you have prayed to God.
Knowledge of the Holy Spirit comes from deep fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Knowing God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit intensely will make it easier for you to relate to the Holy Spirit by praying in the Spirit. If you want to receive the gift of praying in the Spirit, read the Holy Bible verses that I recommend and then pray with belief that God will grant you your wish. At first you may begin to babble but in time you will pray with many words. Some people pray with just a few sounds, if that is you don’t worry the sounds you utter may be the same but the same sounds can have different meanings. An example of this is Japanese, in Japanese the sound Ma has 50 different meanings, there are other meanings for the word or sound Ma in other languages also, so remember in heavenly Spiritual language God will understand what you are saying trust and have faith praying the syllables to God.
If you are unsuccessful in receiving the Gift of Tongues ask a Pentecostal Pastor or a Charismatic Pastor to help you to receive the Gift. Be lead by the Holy Spirit. Start to build a strong relationship with the Holy Spirit by praying in tongues. Keep rebuking the devil and have faith and believe that you have the gift God bless you. In Spirit to Holy Spirit prayer you open your heart, soul and your Spirit to God.
Praise the Holy Trinity Praise God (God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit) with your own words and or in other languages, do this ten minutes a day to begin with and as you get better at this praise God for a longer period of time. As the day goes on keep praising God in your language and or other languages.
Pray this prayer using anointing oil, anoint your forehead and your tongue. Prayer 3. Heavenly Father, I anoint my forehead, tongue, ears and hands with anointing oil. Heavenly Father by my faith I ask You to anoint my tongue with your Spirit language. Thank you Heavenly Father and I praise Your Holy Name. Thank you Jesus.Thank you Holy Spirit. I walk in the Spirit realm and in the faith realm. In Jesus’s Name I pray. Amen. Now consider it done, trust and leave it to the Holy Spirit.
Pray this prayer using anointing oil, anoint your forehead and your tongue. Pray this prayer. Prayer 4.
Heavenly Father, Divine Spirit, Loving Saviour King, I desire to know you more. I read your word and listen to you. As I get to know you I will not doubt your word. As I read the Holy Bible, Purify my heart and give me peace of soul. Heavenly Father, I trust and rejoice in Your Sacrifice and I revere and love Your Majesty. Heavenly Father I repent for all my sins knowing and unknowingly. Give me Spiritual power as I pray. As I fellowship with the Trinity help me to understand more deeply. Heavenly Father I surrender completely. Holy Spirit I submit to You, I am Your vessel, help my soul to communicate with You God, pray a heavenly language within me. Holy Spirit please fill my heart. As I experience the truth of your affection I rejoice in your love as I enter the supernatural Spiritual realm. Thank You, Heavenly Father, In Jesus Name, I pray Amen. Now consider it done, leave it to The Holy Spirit.
Read the Bible, reflect, praise the Trinity ( God The Father, Jesus The Son Of God and the Holy Spirit ) and pray in your normal language.
Now read these Bible verses slowly and reflect on them. Read the verses again and again if need be, read in the New Living Translation if you need to. Holy Bible verses in King James Version on this page.

Acts 2v38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (Spirit).
Acts 10 v1- v48
There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,
2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.
5 And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter:
6 He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.
7 And when the angel which spake unto Cornelius was departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continually;
8 And when he had declared all these things unto them, he sent them to Joppa.
9 On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
16 This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.
17 Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon’s house, and stood before the gate,
18 And called, and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed Peter, were lodged there.
19 While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.
20 Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.
21 Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?
22 And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.
23 Then called he them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.
24 And the morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and he had called together his kinsmen and near friends.
25 And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.
26 But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.
27 And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together.
28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
29 Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?
30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,
31 And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.
32 Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.
33 Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.
34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:
40 Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;
41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.
43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
Acts 10v44-48 44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
46For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
47Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
48And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
Acts 19v1-6 19v1 While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul traveled through the interior regions until he reached Ephesus, on the coast, where he found several believers.[a] 2 “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” he asked them.
“No,” they replied, “we haven’t even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”
3 “Then what baptism did you experience?” he asked.
And they replied, “The baptism of John.”
4 Paul said, “John’s baptism called for repentance from sin. But John himself told the people to believe in the one who would come later, meaning Jesus.”
5 As soon as they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.6 Then when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in other tongues and prophesied.
John 14v26 “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
John15v26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
John 20v19-v22 v19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
20And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
21Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
22And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
Romans 8v12-v17 12Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Romans 8v26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
1 Corinthians 12 v10-11 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: v11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
1 Corinthians 14 v1-4 1 Follow after charity and desire Spiritual gifts, but rather ye may prophesy. 2 For that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
3 But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.
4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
1 Corinthians 14 v10 There are it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world and none of them is without signification.
1 Corinthians 14v14-28 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
15What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
16Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest?
17For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified.
18I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:
19Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.
20Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.
21In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.
22Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.
23If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?
24But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:
25And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.
26How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
27If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.
28But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.
1 Corinthians 14v39-40 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues. 40 Let all things be done decently and in order.
Acts 15v8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit), even as He did unto us;
1 Corinthians 3v16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
Matthew 3v11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
Matthew 3v16 16And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
Mark 16v17 (Jesus speaking) And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Jude 1v20- 21 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit), 21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Isaiah 28v11-12 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
12To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
2 Corinthians 5v17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
1 Corinthians 14v39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.
Ephesians 1v13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Ephesians 6v18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Ephesians 6
- Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
3That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
4And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
5Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
6Not with eyeservice, as men pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
7With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
8Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
9And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.
10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16. Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
21But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:
22Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.
23Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
24Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. (To the Ephesians written from Rome, by Tychicus.)
