Modalism is believing that God is three different aspects or forms. United Pentecostal Church believe in modalism.
Partialism is the belief that God is three parts.
Tritheism is the belief that God is three distinct persons.
Subordinationism is the belief that God is three different ranks or posts.
The Athanasian Creed explains the Holy Trinity.
The Holy Trinity is Three Consciousness in one Eternal Being is One Being; One God in Three Distinct Persons. God is One Being but reveals Himself through the Trinity as God The Father, God The Son (Jesus) and God The Holy Spirit. God is one being in three distinct persons. Triunity. Triunity means there are three parts of the one God. Each person of The Trinity is God, Divine and equal. God is a triune God and eternal. To understand the Holy Trinity you need to do Maths Multiplication not maths addition. A person has a heart, mind and will (Soul) A person has 1 Physical Body X 1 Soul X 1 Spirit = 1 Person. The Holy Trinity is like Divine Mathematics in multiplication 1x1x1=1 Therefore 1 (Creator) God, Heavenly Father X 1 Jesus the Son, is the Spirit of God in a human body. (The Body or also known as the Word in flesh ) X 1 Holy Spirit =1 God. God is more than a Mathematical Equation.
- Omnipresence (God is everywhere), Omnipotent (God has unlimited power), Omniscience (God is knowing everything) is God The Father
2. God Manifested Presence as Jesus the Son
3. Holy Spirit- Indwelling Spirit in you.
God is relational to God The Father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit. Jesus is God the Son, the sacrificial lamb who died a physical death to free mankind and the Earth from sin, eternal damnation and spiritual death. Jesus is the Eternal Father and the Word. Jesus is the physical manifestation of God, He lived in a human body as a man, later He died a physical death on the cross and was resurrected from death. Jesus’ physical death atoned for our sins. Jesus suffered a spiritual suffering on the cross but Jesus never died a Spiritual death. The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin, and protects us from the snares of the devil. Jesus is the Healer, the Saviour and the Deliverer.
The Trinity have never been separated from or divided from each other. God can never change. Jesus died a physical death, if Jesus died Spiritually then He would have ceased to be God, because God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. (John 4v24) true Christians are monotheists.
Jesus prayed to God when He was on the cross for His Spirit.” And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. (Luke 23v46) “ Without the Holy Spirit we can’t be born again, live a Holy life, pray and experience a final transformation. The Holy Spirit is here on Earth with every Christian. The Holy Spirit is a revealing Spirit, He speaks to us, He is a healer and a protector of us, His children. The works of the Holy Spirit is from God. God the Father created the Earth and is in Heaven. The Heavenly Father, Jesus The Son and The Holy Spirit are all one. God is a righteous God and a Holy God, we have to be righteous and Holy like Him. God has infinite knowledge, (Omniscience) unlimited power (Omnipotence) and is everywhere (Omnipresence). Christianity is the study and practice of the union with the Holy Trinity. It is a study and practice in the Holy Spirit. The Holy Trinity is God the Heavenly Father who is Loving, Jesus The Son who is Faithful and The Holy Spirit who is Hope. We must relate to God. Grace is fundamental in Christianity and the act of giving and receiving Love is encouraged. Manashantii
