Pray that God would cut any painful ties you have made in the past. Pray for wisdom to deal with old, difficult memories. Anger and painful past memories stops you from progressing forward and distracts you from being future focused. Be patient with yourself you will heal. Just keep on forgiving when anger arises within you. Acknowledge that you are feeling unforgiveness but know that this feeling will pass if you keep praying and centre your heart on peace. Let this peace grow within you. It takes time to heal, have faith. Stop blaming the person or people involved. Rely on God to help you forgive and forget your painful history. Trust in God.
